What's new in Opentra.

You depend on this software to run your MSP. So every release gets real notes — what shipped, what changed, what got fixed.

8 June 2026

v2026.06.65 – .71
Changed

Ticket screen rebuilt for speed

The ticket header now shows everything at a glance — status, priority, assignee, SLA countdown, source, and age — with one-click quick actions: Reply (or just press R), Take, Snooze, and Resolve. Contact details gained instant email, call, text, and copy shortcuts, and the side panels are grouped into Work, Related, and Tools so nothing is buried. Common state changes drop from four clicks to one.

Changed

A tickets board that shows what needs attention

Stat chips for Open, Unassigned, Overdue, and Critical sit at the top of the board — click one and the view filters instantly, including a Mine filter for your own queue. Cards carry priority colour stripes, channel icons, SLA pills that go amber then red, and an explicit marker when a ticket has no owner. Urgency is now visible before you read a single subject line.

Added

Track the vendor behind every device and ticket

Vendors are now first-class: manage your suppliers centrally with account numbers and contact details, link them to devices, and pick a vendor on any ticket — even ones with no device involved. One click opens an email thread to the vendor from the ticket, so warranty claims and escalations start where the work already is.

Improvements and fixes (2)
  • Devices can now be assigned to a specific client site or branch, so multi-site clients’ hardware is easy to place
  • Device pages polished: a proper Edit Device dialog with grouped, labelled fields, and a tighter detail layout with alerts that read as alerts

5 June 2026

v2026.06.45 – .63
Added

A full CRM and sales pipeline, built in

Opentra now tracks the whole sales motion, not just the work. Drag opportunities across a pipeline board from Discovery to Won, log calls, meetings, emails, SMS and site visits on one unified timeline, and flag at-risk customers before they churn. Site visits get a full checklist plus an embedded network-diagram editor, renewal opportunities are created automatically 90 days before a contract ends, and an insights view charts MRR movement, lost reasons, and churn causes.

Added

Quotes that move your pipeline for you

Spawn a quote straight from an opportunity with the company and contact prefilled, or link one you'd already started. As the quote is sent and approved, the opportunity's stage advances automatically — with a note on the timeline explaining each move — so your forecast reflects reality without manual bookkeeping.

Added

A client portal for every ticket

Ticket numbers in your emails are now clickable: clients land on a branded, no-login ticket page showing status, priority, the assigned tech, and the full conversation. Fewer "any update?" emails, because the answer is one click away.

Improvements and fixes (7)
  • New Revenue dashboard for owners and managers: MRR by contract type, top clients, unbilled work this month with a per-client drill-down, outstanding invoices, and a 6-month revenue trend
  • The main dashboard now leads with a Needs Attention queue (my tickets, unassigned, awaiting reply), team workload with live timers, alerts by source, and a revenue pulse
  • A vendor block-list — managed in Settings, complete with favicons — stops junk companies being auto-created from vendor notification emails
  • Managed-services contract MRR now includes every recurring component (devices, software, and contract lines) on the contract page, list, and dashboards
  • Company page polish: full contact names no longer truncate and the overview cards align to a uniform height
  • Ticket table columns are now resizable, with widths remembered per user
  • Fixed layout glitches in the edit-contact and archive-contact dialogs

4 June 2026

v2026.06.35 – .42
Added

Huntress managed security integration

Connect Huntress and security incidents flow straight into your helpdesk. Each incident creates an alert and a ticket for the right client at the right priority, linked to the affected device and its primary contact — and auto-resolves when Huntress closes it upstream. A Huntress panel on the company page shows agent counts and recent incidents, and a Sync Incidents button pulls the latest on demand.

Added

See exactly who got your emails — and who opened them

Ticket emails now record every To and Cc recipient, not just the primary contact, and show them on each message. Open and click tracking now displays the exact date and time of each event plus the IP and device details — so when three people were CC'd, you can tell which one actually read it.

Improvements and fixes (2)
  • Huntress incident tickets link directly to the matching device and contact in Opentra, with a stable agent mapping that survives hostname changes
  • On first connect, Huntress syncs your full incident history — not just the last fortnight

3 June 2026

v2026.06.21 – .33
Added

Backup failures become tickets automatically

Opentra now monitors your MSP Backups plans directly. When a backup fails, goes overdue, or has never run, it raises an alert and opens a ticket against the right client at the right priority — complete with the error message and last-run time. When the backup recovers, the alert resolves itself. Failed backups stop hiding in a mailbox.

Added

Email attachments land on the ticket

Files attached to inbound client emails are now captured with the message and shown in the ticket conversation — screenshots, PDFs, invoices, the lot. They're served through an authenticated proxy, so only your signed-in team can access them.

Security

Hardened integration credential storage

Integration passwords are now encrypted at rest, and expiring API tokens refresh themselves automatically — so monitoring keeps running without anyone re-entering credentials.

Improvements and fixes (4)
  • Client replies to automated follow-up and closing emails now thread back into the original ticket instead of opening a new one
  • Fixed a bug where assigning a ticket could silently fail while the screen showed it as done
  • System Health now shows your recent inbound and outbound email activity, with each entry clickable through to its ticket
  • Fixed an email-parsing quirk that could route a vendor’s backup alerts to the wrong client

2 June 2026

v2026.06.15 – .19
Fixed

Rock-solid email conversations on every ticket

Manually created tickets now behave exactly like email tickets: the client gets an acknowledgement email with their ticket number, your replies always go out, and when the client answers, their reply threads back into the original ticket instead of spawning a new one. One conversation, one ticket, no matter how it started.

Added

Know the moment a client replies

When a client replies to a ticket by email, the assigned tech is notified immediately — and if nobody owns the ticket yet, admins get the heads-up instead. No more discovering a two-day-old reply by accident.

Improvements and fixes (3)
  • New email delivery log in System Health shows your last outbound emails with sent/failed status and the exact error when a send fails
  • Invoices page is easier to scan: bold payment-status badges, run totals in AUD, and an at-a-glance aggregate status across each billing run
  • Billing run detail now shows each invoice’s total, payment status, and a direct link to it in Xero
