Attach files to project status update emails

You can now attach files to the very first status update you email a client, not just to later replies. Drop the file into the Email status update dialog and it rides along with the note, so that setup guide, photo or signed form reaches the client with the update itself. No more sending the update, then a second email with the attachment.

Changed

Attachments show on the opening update in the conversation view

The on-page conversation view now renders attachments on the initial status update, not only on replies. Whatever you sent the client is visible in the thread where you'd expect it, so the record matches the email. One less "did that file actually go out?" moment.

Improvements and fixes (1)
  • Status update attachments are validated against the same allow-list and 10 file cap already used on replies, with a path-traversal guard

Attach files to project status update emails

You can now attach files to the first status update you send a client, not just to your replies. Open a project, hit Email status update, drop in the file, and it rides along with the note. Same 10-file cap and path checks the reply flow already uses, so nothing sketchy gets sent.

  • Note: the public client portal does not display these files yet, though the email itself always carries them to the client

Attach files to project status update emails

You can now attach files to the first status update you send a client from a project, not just to your replies. The compose dialog picks up the same attachment uploader you already use elsewhere, so a scope doc, a photo, or a sign-off sheet can ride along with that opening update. Same 10-file cap and path checks as the reply route, so nothing sneaks in that shouldn't.

Added

Attachments show on the opening update in the conversation view

Files sent with that first status update now render in the on-page conversation thread, the same way reply attachments always have. Before, an attachment you sent on the opening update simply didn't appear back in the thread, only on later replies. Now the whole conversation reads straight, top to bottom.

Improvements and fixes (2)
  • Fixed the status update send path so files attach correctly on the very first update, not only on replies
  • Note: attachments on these updates aren’t yet shown in the public client portal; the email itself still carries the file to the client

Draft a quote straight from a ticket

Plenty of quotes start life as a support conversation, but until now you had to jump out to the Organisation or Pipeline page to start one. Tickets now have a "Create Quote" action in the overflow menu that opens a new quote prefilled with the ticket's org, opportunity and contact. It shows for managers and admins on tickets that have an organisation set. Same one-directional flow: the quote isn't linked back to the ticket.

Run a runbook onto a ticket you're already looking at

Onboarding, offboarding and new-computer setups often turn up as a ticket first. The checklist panel now has a "Run runbook" action, even before the ticket has any checklist items, that opens the same intake wizard scoped to that ticket. Pick a runbook and its steps (interpolated titles, due dates, role-to-tech assignments) get appended straight onto the current ticket instead of spinning up a new one. A caption also records where a checklist came from: "From Employee offboarding, run by Myles, 18 Aug".

Quote search now includes your own price list

The quote editor's product search only ever hit the Leader Computers distributor feed, so quoting a flat-fee or service SKU from your own Settings, Products catalogue turned up nothing. It now searches both at once and shows them in two labelled sections, "Your catalogue" above "Leader Computers", so a fixed catalogue price and a Leader item's cost plus markup never get muddled. Catalogue items add as a service line using their own cost, price and tax settings, editable per row afterwards.

Improvements and fixes (6)
  • Checklist panel redesigned: moved into the right rail alongside Time Logged and Products, with a pending/completed split and completed items collapsed by default.
  • Checklist items now support inline due-date and assignee editing, so ad-hoc tasks can get an owner and a date without leaving the ticket.
  • Seeded onboarding and offboarding runbooks now cover the real tool stack (Level.io, Huntress, ConnectWise Control), with explicit deploy and removal steps; already-run tickets are untouched.
  • Fixed a quote prefill bug where the company field showed “(selected org)” instead of the org’s real name for any org outside the alphabetical top 10.
  • Merged the Service templates (runbooks) module into main so the onboarding, offboarding and new-computer-setup runbooks are finally reachable in the app.
  • Fixed a stale worker still sending old plain-text notification emails after an update.

Fixed

Start a ticket from a contact and the details are already filled in

When you click New ticket from a contact or org page, the ticket form now arrives with the Contact and Company already set, so you no longer have to re-search for the person you were just looking at. Archived contacts or orgs are filtered out, so you won't get a blank field that still submits. If a contact belongs to a different org than the one in the link, the contact's own organisation wins, so the two can never disagree.
