The reactive support era is over, apparently
On 16 July 2026, ConnectWise went GA with what it calls a unified “System of Action”: PSA, RMM, SIEM, AI agents and billing merged around a shared, multi-tenant data layer. Existing RMM, BCDR and Managed Security customers get auto-enrolled. The PSA has been rebuilt so the other products connect through it.
Read that again slowly, owner to owner. Your entire client book, every ticket, every billing line now feeds native agentic AI inside a vendor’s shared tenant. And the SaaS pricing for the new platform was not announced at launch.
So before you get swept along, two questions.
Question one: whose data?
“Shared multi-tenant data layer” means your book of business sits in the same pool as everyone else’s, under a vendor who now has more reasons than ever to keep it there. When PSA becomes the hub other products plug into, leaving stops being a migration and starts being a divorce. That is the point of the design. Deeper integration is sold as convenience. It buys lock-in.
Opentra takes the opposite stance on purpose. Self-hosted, single-tenant, on hardware you control. Your data is your data. What happens if Opentra disappears tomorrow? Nothing stops. You own it and you can export it. That is not a feature we bolted on. It is the whole shape of the thing. See how we think about this on our security page.
Question two: whose AI, and when?
An “AI-native execution layer” means agents act across your data by default. We do the opposite. Opentra uses Anthropic Claude for two scoped jobs: drafting the narrative in your monthly client service reports, and “extract from ticket” to pull scheduled tasks out of a single ticket. Both have a deterministic fallback. Nothing acts across your whole book. You choose if and when AI touches a workflow, and you own the send.
Honest labels, always. No “AI agent” hand-wave here.
We don’t do RMM. That’s the point.
ConnectWise is bundling everything into one cloud suite. Opentra is PSA only, by design: the system your work runs on from first email to paid invoice. Your monitoring stays yours. Bring Level.io, ScreenConnect or NinjaOne. Alerts become billable work in your PSA, and your RMM stays your call. That is what our integrations are for.
Flat, not a shared tenant with mystery pricing
